Description
Alouette is a versatile red skinned variety which produces long oval tubers with shallow eyes and yellow flesh colour. It’s an ideal variety for organic growing due to its excellent resistance to various potato diseases including leaf and tuber blight. Excellent flavour and texture when cooked. Ideal for roasting, baking, boiling, steaming and chipping.
Plant outdoors in mid April and harvest late September to October. These will store until March/April the following year.
Spacing: 30cm in drill (drills widely spaced so you can earth up – around 75cm).
