Description

Long Red Florence onion is an Italian heirloom variety with elongated torpedo-shaped onions. The skin is crimson red and the flesh slightly pink.  The onions have a sweet, subtle flavour, ideal for eating raw in salads.

Sowing:

Late January to March (with heat)

Sow 4 seeds per cell in modular trays and plant out 8-10 weeks after sowing without splitting up the seedlings.

Between rows: 30cm

Between plants in the row: 30cm (4 plants per station)
