Can I sow broad beans now in February?

Yes, broad beans don’t mind the cold at all. You can sow the seeds directly outdoors into a seed bed. My favourite variety is Witkeim. It produces delicious and high yielding pods on strong plants. February to early March is the best sowing time as later sowings are more prone to blackfly attack and chocolate spot.
