Tomato – Paleochori
€1.95
Description
Tomato – Paleochori is a variety I found growing in a beautiful, idyllic garden in the small mountain village of Paleochori in the Peloponnese. This variety was grown for many generations in this village and doesn’t even have a variety name. I simply call it after the village.
In my opinion this is the best flavoured beef tomato I ever had! But be warned – it has no shelf life. It is ready one day and then it collapses under its own weight. Lets hope it’ll grow in a tunnel or greenhouse in Ireland as well as the other Greek mountain tomatoes I found in the past and we’ll all be drooling.
